What does a Replo developer actually do?
They design and build Shopify pages inside Replo, connect them to real product data, make them work on a phone, and publish them to your live theme. The good ones also tell you when Replo is the wrong tool for the page.
Because Replo is a design canvas rather than a widget system, the job sits between design and development. Someone who can only assemble prebuilt blocks will produce something that looks like the template it started from. That is usually not what you are paying for.
How much does it cost to hire a Replo developer?
A single well-built landing page or product page typically runs from a few hundred dollars to around a thousand, depending on how much design and copy work it needs. A multi-page funnel costs more, and should be quoted as one project rather than per page.
For reference, my own page builds are $600 to $900 and full store builds are $1,200 to $1,800, published on this site so you can price against them rather than guess. Rates vary widely by region and by whether design is included, so treat any single number as a data point rather than a market rate.
| What you are buying | Rough band | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Template assembly only | Lowest | It will look like the template. That may be fine. |
| Design plus build, one page | Middle | Ask whether design is genuinely included or assumed from you. |
| Funnel or multi-page system | Highest | Should be quoted as a project, with a shared design system. |
What should I ask before hiring one?
- Show me a page you built that is live right now, and tell me what was there before it.
- What did you decide not to put on that page, and why? A good answer here is the strongest signal in the whole conversation.
- How does this page perform on a phone, and can you show me?
- Who maintains it after handover, and what happens if I want the price changed next month?
- Would you build this in Replo at all, or would a native theme section be better here?
What should I have ready before the first call?
- Your store URL, and the specific page in question
- Where the traffic to that page comes from, because a page for cold paid traffic is a different page from one for returning email subscribers
- Your product images, at the size they were originally shot, not compressed exports
- What you have already tried, so nobody sells you it twice
Do I need a Replo specialist, or just a Shopify developer?
If the page is already built in Replo, hire someone who works in Replo. If you are starting fresh, hire on conversion judgement instead, and let them pick the tool. The tool is the smaller half of the decision.
Common questions
How much does a Replo developer cost?
A single designed and built page typically runs from a few hundred dollars up to around a thousand. Koolestpro page builds are $600 to $900 and full store builds are $1,200 to $1,800, published up front.
What is the difference between a Replo developer and a Shopify developer?
A Replo developer works inside Replo’s design canvas and mostly builds pages. A Shopify developer works in Liquid and the theme itself. Many jobs need judgement about which approach fits, not just one skill.
How long does a Replo page take to build?
A single designed page usually takes five to eight working days including a revision round. Faster is possible when the design direction and copy are already settled.
