Captain & Skipper storefront

Brand and storefront designed in Figma, built in Shopify

The situation

Captain & Skipper sold shampoo and conditioner made for older children, the age where a kids brand starts to feel babyish and an adult one does not fit. The whole proposition rested on tone. It had to read as grown-up enough for the child and reassuring enough for the parent paying, and there was no existing storefront to adapt, so the brand and the store were designed together from nothing.

What was wrong

  • 01No storefront existed. Brand, page design and build all had to come from one place
  • 02Two audiences on one page: the child who wants it to feel like theirs, and the parent reading the ingredient list
  • 03A subscription offer that needed explaining without turning the page into a pricing table

What was built

01

Full brand identity: colour system, badge marks and the illustrated icon set used across the store

02

Every page designed in Figma before a line of Liquid was written, including homepage, about, ingredients and subscribe and save

03

An ingredients page carrying the free-from claims as a scannable badge row rather than a paragraph

04

A subscribe and save page that presents the offer as a decision, not a price grid

05

The whole thing developed and shipped on Shopify

The result

Shipped, handed over, and still running on what was built.
